Job summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer at the State College site to analyze and improve manufacturing processes for ultrasound transducers. The role involves developing and validating new processes, performing data-driven trials, and ensuring regulatory compliance within a high-mix, regulated environment.

You will collaborate with R&D, production, and QA to drive continuous improvement, apply Lean Six Sigma principles, and document SOPs. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or an Associate's degree with 3 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, JMP, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify efficiency, quality, and cost improvements.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor new or modified processes and procedures.
  • Complete process and equipment qualifications and validations.
  • Conduct experiments and trials to validate process changes and collect data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, production, and quality assurance.
  • Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Document process specifications, operating procedures, and training materials.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, safety and environmental regulations.
