Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Process Engineer to analyze and optimize production processes in Burlington, WI. The role focuses on refining material flow, work-center layouts, and standard work to drive throughput and consistency on the shop floor.

The engineer will lead improvement projects, support new product introductions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce cycle times and minimize rework. This is a contract-to-hire position based onsite.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role.
• Strong understanding of production flow and shop-floor execution.
• Comfort analyzing production data to identify trends and improvements.
• Proven problem-solving skills with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ability to work with operators, technicians, engineers, and quality staff.
• Willingness to spend significant time on the production floor.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production processes, material flow, layouts and routing to identify opportunities.
• Lead cross-functional projects to increase throughput and on-time delivery.
• Develop and maintain standard work and process documentation.
• Investigate defects and process variation with structured problem-solving methods.
• Collaborate with Engineering to improve manufacturability and test flow.
• Apply data analysis and time studies to drive measurable improvements.
• Support new product introductions and product transfers.
