Job summary

Pro-Active Engineering in Wisconsin is seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing/Process Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced electronics production environment.

You will assist in developing and documenting PCBA manufacturing processes, participate in line balancing and lean initiatives, support root-cause analysis for quality issues, and collaborate with Quality, Production, and R&D teams to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Associate or Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Familiarity with PCBA manufacturing processes such as SMT, Through-Hole, Reflow, AOI or ICT is a plus.
• Proficient using Microsoft Office; CAD/engineering tools desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; clear communication and teamwork.

• Supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues

Management Professionalism Qualifications Currently Pursuing An

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering
• Basic understanding of PCBA manufacturing processes (SMT, Through-Hole, Reflow, AOI, ICT, etc.) is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
• experience with CAD, SolidWorks, or Altium Designer is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Eagerness to learn and contribute in a hands-on environment
