Minerals Technologies has an opening for a Process & Manufacturing Support Engineering Intern in Canaan, CT. You will help develop and maintain applications to control the manufacturing process, and support initiatives to maximize equipment availability, reliability, and productivity.

The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Mining or Industrial Engineering with strong analytical and communication skills, familiar with AutoCAD and MS Office, and able to work across

Qualifications

• Relevant coursework, academic projects, or internship in engineering principles.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Able to work individually and in a team.
• Experience reading P&ID’s, PFD’s and process diagrams is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and optimize processes across manufacturing plants.
• Develops P&ID, PFD, mass and energy balances for units.
• Compile and maintain basis of design information.
• Identify tech and equipment upgrades for processes.
• Develop new processes for improved products.
• Gather data for product/process development, scale-up and troubleshooting.
