Job summary

Minerals Technologies Inc. (MTI) has an opening for a Process & Manufacturing Support Engineering Intern in Canaan, CT. The intern will help develop and maintain applications to control the manufacturing process and support initiatives to maximize equipment availability, reliability, and productivity.

Responsibilities include process troubleshooting, creating engineering diagrams, equipment specifications, and contributing to best practices while following MTI safety policies.

Qualifications

• Strong engineering fundamentals in chemical, mechanical, mining or industrial engineering.
• Experience with process engineering concepts, data gathering and design documents.
• Ability to read and generate P&ID’s, PFD’s and energy balances.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and optimize processes and support plant operations.
• Create and maintain engineering flow diagrams and mass/energy balances.
• Develop equipment specs and assist in vendor evaluation.
