Job summary

Minerals Technologies Inc. (MTI) is seeking a Process & Manufacturing Support Engineering Intern in CT.

You will help develop and maintain applications controlling manufacturing processes, identify improvements to equipment availability and reliability, and support various cost-reduction initiatives. The role requires coursework in Chemical, Mechanical, Mining or Industrial Engineering, strong problem-solving, and good communication.

Qualifications

• Relevant coursework, academic projects, or internship experience related to engineering principles.
• Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in process troubleshooting and optimization for existing plants.
• Develop engineering flow diagrams, P&ID's, PFD's, and mass/energy balances.
• Compile basis of design information and equipment specifications.
• Identify technologies and equipment upgrades for improved processes.
• Create documentation for control systems and participate in predictive maintenance efforts.
