First Solar Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support the installation and qualification of systems on the production floor in Trinity, AL.

The role focuses on troubleshooting day-to-day manufacturing issues, implementing improvements to increase throughput, yield, and product performance. Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, plus technical associates or equivalent experience, and familiarity with safety procedures.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Associates degree in a technical discipline preferred.
• 2+ years of machine or mechanic experience.
• At least one year of First Solar technical experience.
• Six months’ experience as a temporary Manufacturing Engineering Technician at First Solar.

Responsabilidades

• Solve day-to-day production, equipment, and process problems.
• Identify and implement yield and product performance improvements.
• Develop methods to assign causes to yield excursions.
• Set up and maintain gauges.
• Ensure processes run on target as defined by the Process Control Plan.
• Respond to SPC process control alarms and bring processes back into control.
• Provide training to production associates.
• Develop and update internal documentation including drawings and SOPs.
