Job summary

Food Management Search, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a hands-on role at a state-of-the-art wood door production facility. You will partner with Production, CI, Maintenance and Engineering to solve day-to-day manufacturing issues and drive improvements on the floor.

The role emphasizes practical solutions, KPI-driven performance, and the ability to influence change across shifts and departments. A strong background in process optimization is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering is required.
• 3+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in an assembly operation, preferably wood products.
• Self-starter who can work independently and in a team.
• Project management experience from start to finish is highly desirable.
• Capital project experience is helpful.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with all staff levels.

Responsibilities

• Solve hands-on manufacturing problems to improve day-to-day performance.
• Drive process improvements to meet KPIs.
• Develop practical solutions and ensure sustained improvements.
• Maintain a strong manufacturing floor presence and work with operators and supervisors.
• Serve as escalation resource for deeper process analysis and problem solving.
• Coordinate design, development and validation of manufacturing processes.
