Job summary

Kendall Howard is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Minnesota to design and improve production processes, work with design and quality teams, and implement cost-saving initiatives. The role bridges design engineering and production to ensure cost-effective manufacturing while meeting quality and safety standards.

The position requires a technical degree in manufacturing engineering and at least five years of experience in manufacturing engineering.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in manufacturing engineering, production support, operations or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure product quality
• Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation
• Partner with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of new products, supporting prototypes and scaling up to full production
• Provide technical support to production teams to resolve issues with equipment, materials, or processes
• Collaborate with Quality and Engineering to ensure all processes meet quality standards and customer requirements
• Troubleshoot manufacturing problems and implement corrective/preventative actions
• Ensure processes comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
• Recommend and implement cost-saving projects and efficiency enhancements
• Use data-driven analysis to monitor production metrics and drive improvements
• Specify, purchase, and implement manufacturing equipment, jigs, and tooling
• Work closely with design, quality, operations, and supply chain teams to meet company goals.
