Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to create and update manufacturing processes, layouts, and procedures for assemblies and production lines. The role involves designing operation sequences and ensuring manufacturability while adapting processes to factory conditions.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering with 2+ years of experience and exposure to DoD contracts, plus proficiency with MBOMs in an MRP system and CAD tools such as SolidWorks/AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field; 2+ years in related role.
• Prior exposure to manufacturing on DoD contracts.
• Demonstrated capability to develop and maintain manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Create/update manufacturing processes, procedures and layouts for assemblies and production.
• Design sequence of operations and specify procedures for assembly and integration; adapt processes to production conditions.
• Maintain MBOM in the MRP system and assist site management with capital equipment purchases.
