Zekelman Industries is seeking a Process Engineer to drive operational excellence in our Kansas City manufacturing operations. You will optimize processes, improve productivity, and enhance product quality by partnering with manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, data-driven decision making, and delivery of measurable performance improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Ability to interpret complex mechanical and electro-technical drawings.
• Experience collaborating with operations and maintenance teams to optimize equipment performance.
• Proficient with CAD tools (AutoCAD, Inventor) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and product quality.
• Implement process design practices from concept through start-up and validation.
• Build strong partnerships with manufacturing and maintenance teams to encourage collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Plan, manage, and execute project schedules effectively and efficiently.
• Justify, budget, and monitor capital expenditure (CapEx) projects.
• Assess manufacturing processes, collect measurements, and analyze complex operational data.
• Create, maintain, and improve process documentation and operating procedures.
• Support equipment assessments and customer issue resolution efforts.
