Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to support day-to-day manufacturing operations in Meriden, CT, focusing on CNC machining of medium-to-large cylindrical parts. You will develop and optimize processes, tooling, fixturing, and routings while interpreting GD&T from drawings and CAD models to drive production improvements.

The role involves reviewing drawings, updating setup documentation, and working with NX CAD software (Mastercam beneficial).

Qualifications

• Proficiency in CNC machining and process engineering.
• Experience with CAD software, preferably NX, though other CAD experience is transferable.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading for interpreting complex engineering drawings.
• Experience with Mastercam is beneficial.
• Familiarity with manufacturing medium-to-large metallic and cylindrical parts is preferred.
• No degree required if the candidate possesses relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve machining processes for medium-to-large cylindrical metallic components.
• Work with CNC machining processes, tooling, and fixturing.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
• Create or update routings, operation sheets, setup documentation, and work instructions.
• Utilize CAD models and drawings to support process improvements.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing challenges and optimize production flow.
