Position Summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions, a division of Amphenol, is a leader in high-speed, high-bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market, supporting major OEMs globally. We are seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team in Valley Green, PA. The role involves transitioning new products from development to manufacturing, working closely with product development and engineering to define manufacturing requirements, managing projects from prototype to high-volume production, and ensuring quality and cost targets are met.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in early-stage product development and ensure manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and testing requirements are captured.
  • Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles early in the design process.
  • Conduct manufacturing readiness assessments and review engineering documentation.
  • Develop schedules for new product releases, set milestones, assess risks, and coordinate cross-functional activities.
  • Ensure timely delivery of new products within budget and quality expectations.
  • Perform cost analyses for production planning.
  • Develop initial build plans and evaluate supply chain constraints.
  • Act as liaison between manufacturing, engineering, and operations for technical problem resolution and prototyping.
  • Design or specify manufacturing methods, equipment, and tooling.
  • Provide feedback for continuous improvement based on product rollouts.
Qualifications
  • B.S. in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • 5-10 years of experience in product development, NPI, or manufacturing engineering.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling with SolidWorks.
  • Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, FMEA, DOE, and process improvement.
  • Strong communication skills across global teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Additional knowledge of copper alloys, thermoplastics, or electroplating is a plus.
