Location

Post Consumer Brands in Battle Creek, Mich., the cereal capital of the U.S., is our largest manufacturing plant, home to about 600 team members. You’ll help produce iconic cereal brands like Honey Bunches of Oats, PEBBLES, Grape-Nuts, and Honeycomb. The plant supports the local community through events and initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Implement best practices and improve processes through new technology and equipment.
  • Support technical training and oversight for Process Operators.
  • Maintain current process performance targets for safety, quality, yield, rate, and efficiency.
  • Lead efforts to enhance processes to meet goals.
  • Support data collection and reporting to enable process improvements.
  • Identify and recommend new equipment technologies.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives related to ingredients, materials, and finished products.
  • Lead small capital projects.
  • Coordinate with teams for new product commercialization.
  • Ensure process and product attributes, including taste, are sustained.
  • Provide safety-related engineering support.
Requirements
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to influence, mentor, and lead teams.
  • Results-driven with a focus on cost leadership and growth.
  • Proactive with a positive attitude and goal-setting skills.
  • Effective communicator with a compelling vision and morale-building abilities.
  • Problem-solving skills for complex issues and timely prioritization.

Qualifications

Education: A 4-year degree in science or engineering.

Experience: Over 5 years in manufacturing process engineering or development, preferably in food or consumer products.
