Description and Requirements
About the role

This is a unique opportunity to join a well established global team as a Manufacturing Process & Continuous Improvement Quality Engineer. Working within a dynamic international matrix (spanning Morrisville, Taiwan, the UK, Mexico, and China), this new role focuses on driving continuous process improvements on the manufacturing floor to optimize customer delivery and experience. The ideal candidate brings a strong manufacturing background-preferably from the automotive or high-tech server assembly industries-with a strong floor presence, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to interpret operational processes to ensure they are simplified, executable, and auditable. While prior formal Quality Engineering experience is not required, strong process acumen, analytical capability, and customer-facing communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Manufacturing Continuous Improvement: Evaluate manufacturing floor processes across global facilities (server and rack assembly) to identify opportunities for improvement, simplify workflows, and ensure robust, executable standards.
  • Process Auditing & Execution: Conduct detailed process audits to verify compliance, evaluate operational effectiveness, and ensure alignment with strategic operational goals.
  • Customer Quality & Engagement: Partner directly with key external CSP customers to build, rapidly respond to technical inquiries, and lead monthly executive and quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
  • Root Cause & Corrective Action: Analyze test logs, Failure Analysis (FA) reports, and supplier 8D reports to establish root cause for customer issues and drive corrective actions directly back into manufacturing process controls.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize Excel, Power BI, and modern AI process tools to analyze yield metrics (FPY, TPY, PRR) and create impactful executive reports, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Process Documentation & Control: Develop and maintain process mapping, pFMEA, yield targets, and ongoing monitoring strategies for assigned products throughout their lifecycle (from introduction to end-of-life).
  • Global Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with local and global Quality, Test, Supplier, and Manufacturing Engineering teams to implement global quality standards, site scorecards, and First Article Inspections (FAI).
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing floor environment (Automotive or Electronics/Server industry experience highly preferred).
  • Process Focus: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement methodologies. Formal quality experience is a plus, but not required if strong manufacturing/floor process acumen is present.
  • Technical & Analytical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and data reporting tools. Ability to leverage data and AI tools to track FPY/TPY improvements.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to represent the organization in high-level customer-facing meetings.
  • Mobility: Willingness to travel up to 10% (domestic/international).
