Dixon Opportunities in Appleton, WI is seeking motivated individuals for manufacturing roles with 1st and 2nd shifts. Starting pay is $20 per hour with a $1.63 shift differential for 2nd shift, and opportunities to reach $22-$25 after 720 hours, with no rotating shifts and overtime potential.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to work up to 12-hour shifts including occasional Saturdays, and willingness to learn.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Follow safety and quality standards and report unsafe situations.
  • Troubleshoot and solve mechanical or system issues.
  • Perform machine setups and changeovers for various products.
  • Read production orders and plan work accordingly.
  • Cross-train to operate multiple machines in the plant.
  • Read standard and metric rulers; use basic hand tools safely.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
  • Operate computers and Microsoft Office software as needed.

Available Shifts:
  • 1st Shift: 5:00 am-1:00 pm Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays during peak season.
  • 2nd Shift: 1:00 pm-11:00 pm Monday through Thursday with occasional Fridays & Saturdays during peak season.

Requirements for All Positions:
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and quality standards
  • Troubleshoot and problem-solve in a variety of scenarios, including but not limited to mechanical equipment and system issues
  • Perform machine setups and changeovers for a variety of products
  • Must have basic math skills; includingthe ability toperformaddition, subtraction,multiplication,and division, workwith fractions, andcalculate averages
  • Read, understand, and plan work based on production orders
  • Participate in cross-training and continuously develop skills to operate multiple machines throughout the plant
  • Follow direction from management, supervisors, and lead operators
  • Ability to readand interpret standardand metric rulersand safely usebasic handtools, including wrenches, channel-lock pliers, and screwdrivers
  • Perform a variety of production tasks, including regularly lifting up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail and be comfortable operating computerized equipment
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate with a diverse team
  • Safely operate stand-up or sit-down lift equipment at heights of up to 25 feet, as needed.
  • Ability to operate a computer and use Microsoft Office related software.

Safety:
  • Observe all safety issues, practice safe working habits and report any unsafe situations to a supervisor.
  • Be adequately trained in lock out/tag out and all other safety related programs required by the company.
  • Adhere to all environmental health and safety policies.
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste in the production (such as participating in Safety Blitzes)
