Qualifications

  • 10+ years of manufacturing management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS).
  • Experience in printing, converting, flexible packaging, or label manufacturing is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, administrative, financial, technical, and production management skills.
  • Knowledge of modern quality assurance and continuous improvement practices.
  • Experience managing employee relations, staffing, and training.
  • Understanding of labor, environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, MRP systems, and production/inventory control systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with employees, leadership, and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all production and plant operations.
  • Develop and manage production and operating schedules.
  • Oversee raw materials, manufacturing, customer service, facility maintenance, safety, finished goods, and shipping.
  • Lead staffing, employee relations, training, and workforce development.
  • Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
  • Monitor production standards, budgets, material costs, waste, throughput, and overhead.
  • Drive continuous process improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Review and maintain quality assurance programs for raw materials and finished products.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOL, EEOC, and other applicable regulations.
  • Troubleshoot production challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Oversee the installation, commissioning, and start-up of new equipment.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead operations at our Guilford, CT facility.

Our facility is an industry leader in flexible packaging, label printing, and converting, with specialized expertise in RFID-enabled labels and pressure-sensitive labels serving a variety of industries, including pharmaceuticals.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced manufacturing professional who can drive production performance, quality, safety, employee development, and continuous improvement across the facility.
