Job summary

Harris, a national mechanical contractor, seeks a Manufacturing Plant Manager to lead the startup, stabilization, and scale-up of a state-of-the-art integrated facility in Houston. You will own safety, quality, delivery, cost, and P&L, guiding teams through lean practices and continuous improvement.

Initially focusing on plumbing and piping fabrication, the plant will expand to sheet metal as capacity and plans mature, with ISO 9001:2015 readiness as a target.

Qualifications

• Experience leading startup, stabilization and scale-up of a manufacturing facility.
• Proven ability to own P&L, budgets, and capital investments.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and readiness for ISO 9001:2015.

Responsibilities

• Lead the startup, stabilization, and scale-up of a new integrated manufacturing facility, establishing operating rhythms and performance discipline.
• Own end-to-end plant performance, including safety, quality, delivery, cost, P&L, and workforce execution.
• Translate enterprise growth objectives into executable production plans that support predictable output and on-time delivery.
• Balance labor, equipment, and materials to meet production commitments.
• Drive data-based decision-making through KPIs, visual management, and performance reporting.
