Job summary

Implementation Engineers, LLC is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Planning & Scheduling Consultant to join our project team for a manufacturing transformation engagement in the Midwest. This onsite role runs 20+ weeks with a Monday–Friday schedule and starts within 2 weeks.

You will assess, redesign and help implement improvements across material planning, MRP, production planning and shop-floor scheduling, facing complex BOMs, capacity constraints and frequent schedule changes.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on manufacturing planning and scheduling experience.
• Deep understanding of MRP, master scheduling, BOMs, dependent demand and capacity planning.
• Experience with complex discrete manufacturing (aerospace/defense, industrial equipment or engineered products).
• Demonstrated ability to redesign and implement planning processes, not just advise.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose current material-planning, MRP and production-scheduling processes.
• Determine root causes across system, master data, planning, or execution.
• Evaluate BOM structures, lead times, safety stock, and planning parameters.
• Analyze planned and production orders, shortages and planner actions.
• Improve production-order planning and release practices.
• Develop future-state planning processes, standard work and KPIs.
• Collaborate with planners, schedulers, supervisors and leadership.
