Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Planning Manager to lead a high-performing team responsible for production planning and order execution across a $100M+ consumables portfolio at a growing chemistry site. You will own MPS, capacity planning, backlog management, and global fulfillment coordination.

The role requires advanced Excel, ERP expertise, data visualization (Power BI), and a track record of Lean improvements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 5+ years in manufacturing planning or supply chain operations.
  • 2+ years of people leadership experience.
  • Experience with SIOP/S&OP processes.
  • Strong ERP and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

  • Own Master Production Schedule aligned to demand and capacity.
  • Lead planning activities across multiple production lines.
  • Drive backlog management, order execution, and escalations.
  • Partner cross-functionally to optimize production and mitigate disruptions.
  • Evaluate capacity requirements and adjust supply plans.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools for insights.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team in a high-growth environment.
