Electronic Power Design, Inc. in Georgia is seeking a Manufacturing Planning Data Clerk to support ERP data management, BOM validation, routing maintenance, and work order processing.

This role ensures data integrity in Global Shop Solutions (GSS) and coordinates with Engineering and Production to maintain accurate labor and material transactions for efficient operations. You will audit transactions, support scheduling updates, and assist with engineering changes within ERP.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree, technical certification, or coursework in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering Technology, Business Operations, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing planning, ERP administration, inventory control, document control, production coordination, or related functions.
  • Experience with ERP systems; Global Shop Solutions (GSS) experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of BOMs, routing structures, and work order processes.
  • Advanced attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and business software applications.

Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and update routers, labor steps, operational sequences, and manufacturing routing structures within Global Shop Solutions (GSS).
  • Review and validate Bills of Material (BOMs) for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain part masters, labor standards, routing logic, and manufacturing structures.
  • Identify and correct ERP data discrepancies before they impact production operations.
  • Support ongoing ERP standardization and data governance initiatives.
  • Create and process fabrication and manufacturing work orders across multiple product lines.
  • Support master schedule updates and work order rescheduling activities.
  • Validate work order structures and ensure manufacturing requirements are accurately reflected.
  • Assist planners and supervisors with scheduling updates and production readiness activities.
  • Support engineering changes and manufacturing updates within ERP systems.
  • Audit labor reporting, material issuing, assembly issuing, and work order transactions.
  • Ensure labor, material, and assembly transactions are properly completed prior to shipment.
  • Review completed work orders for transactional and financial accuracy.
  • Identify open labor steps, incomplete transactions, and processing gaps requiring corrective action.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing, Warehouse, Engineering, and Planning personnel to resolve discrepancies.
  • Work closely with Engineering to resolve BOM discrepancies and routing issues.
  • Support Manufacturing Planning workflows and production readiness initiatives.
  • Communicate ERP-related issues, corrections, and process improvements to stakeholders.
  • Assist with document control, wiretag support, engraving support, and planning administration as needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on ERP accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Support ERP compliance initiatives that improve data accuracy and transaction quality.
  • Assist with audits of planning data, routing structures, BOMs, and work order activity.
  • Monitor trends and recurring issues impacting manufacturing performance.
  • Recommend process improvements that improve planning accuracy and system reliability.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation supporting manufacturing operations.

The Manufacturing Planning Department serves as the operational backbone of our production environment by ensuring schedules, work orders, Bills of Material (BOMs), routing structures, and ERP transactions are accurate and aligned with manufacturing requirements.

The Opportunity:

EPD is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Manufacturing Planning Data Clerk to support manufacturing operations through ERP data management, work order processing, routing maintenance, BOM validation, and transaction compliance.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring that manufacturing data entered into Global Shop Solutions (GSS) is accurate, standardized, and properly maintained. The role also supports transaction auditing, labor reporting validation, inventory issuing accuracy, and work order completion processes that directly impact production efficiency and shipment readiness.

What You’ll Do:
ERP Data Integrity & System Administration
  • Create, maintain, and update routers, labor steps, operational sequences, and manufacturing routing structures within Global Shop Solutions (GSS).

  • Familiarity with document control, wiretag management, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Experience supporting scheduling, production planning, or operational reporting activities.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
