Job summary

Hendrickson in Berea, Kentucky is seeking a materials planning and procurement professional to manage MRP data integrity, procurements, supplier relationships, and continuous improvement projects. The role supports on-time shipments, production receipts, and 95% vendor delivery performance in a manufacturing environment.

Qualified candidates will have strong MRP and supply chain experience, knowledge of Lean, Kanban and Kaizen, and proven leadership in teams and projects.

Qualifications

• Material/planning experience in manufacturing required.
• Strong MRP and supply chain skills including procurement, production control, shipping and receiving, transportation.
• Experience with supplier management, supplier improvement, cost reductions and corrective actions.
• Experience leading teams and participating in teams.
• Experience with change management and project management.
• Adaptable to continuous improvement and changing environments.
• Knowledge of IT and inventory/production software.
• Understanding of lean, Kanban and Kaizen
• Knowledge of cycle counting and GMP
• Works well under pressure
• Organized with strong follow-up
• Analytical, energetic and results-oriented
• Professionalism and integrity for all levels

Responsibilities

• Ensure MRP data integrity and act as backup contact for system problems.
• Review requisitions and prepare purchase orders; maintain procurement records.
• Discuss defects with quality and determine source; may serve as Internal QA Auditor.
• Backup responsibility for QOS metrics on Supplier Delivery, Forecast Accuracy, Working Capital.
• Participate on continuous improvement teams.
• MRO and PO entry and receipt.
• All other duties as assigned
