Job summary

Chipton-Ross is seeking 3 Manufacturing Planners (Level 3) for a contract opportunity in San Antonio, TX. The role focuses on developing and maintaining manufacturing plans, BOMs and work instructions to define as-built configuration.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of Planner experience, CAD software proficiency, and the ability to read 2D/3D drawings and interpret engineering data. Must be able to work second shift and comply with security requirements onsite.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience as a Manufacturing Planner or equivalent role.
• 5+ years experience with CAD software and reading 2D/3D drawings.
• Ability to analyze and interpret engineering data and specifications.
• Familiarity with manufacturing engineering processes and MS Office.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain manufacturing plans, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Create concepts and strategies to support business objectives and provide clarifications on drawings.
• Integrate suppliers, processes, materials, data and technology to meet requirements.
• Review supplier data and develop tooling requirements tied to design and manufacturing needs.
• Manage tools from design to end-of-use, investigate issues and propose solutions.
• Provide producibility input to design and manufacturing teams to meet costs and schedules.
• Draft, update and review processes to support regulatory requirements.
• Work under general direction on assigned manufacturing planning projects.

Job Overview

Chipton-Ross is seeking 3 Manufacturing Planners (Level 3) for a contract opportunity in San Antonio, TX.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of Manufacturing Planner experience
• 5+ years of experience with CAD Software
• Ability to interpret and read 2D and 3D drawings and specifications
• Analyze & interpret engineering data
• Manufacturing engineering processes
• Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft

Position Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain various manufacturing plans, bill of materials, work instructions and illustrations to define and document as-built configuration.
• Develop manufacturing concepts and strategies to support business objectives; support mechanics with clarification related to planning and applicable engineering drawings and specifications.
• Develop and integrate suppliers, processes, materials, data and technology to meet manufacturing and delivery requirements.
• Review and approve supplier data to ensure manufacturing-related requirements are met; develop tooling requirements based on manufacturing and engineering requirements.
• Manage tools from initial design to end-of-use disposition; investigate and resolve manufacturing-related issues.
• Perform producibility assessments for part or product designs; provide producibility input to design, manufacturing processes and manufacturing technologies to meet cost and schedules.
• Develop integrated work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments.
• Draft, update and review processes and procedures to support business and regulatory agency requirements.
• Work under general direction.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous client Planner experience
• Gold ESP & MESCI experience
• Experience with IVT, REDARS, WIRS

Physical Requirements

The candidate must be able to go up and down stairs and work in confined spaces.

Required Education

Accredited education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor + 1 year related work experience, 5 years related work experience, etc.).

Work Hours

Full time, second shift; 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM.
