Cesna-Recruitment is seeking a Payroll Specialist to process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff within a manufacturing setting, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

The role requires strict confidentiality, high attention to detail, and strong analytical skills to resolve payroll issues, maintain records, and ensure timely processing. Collaboration with HR, Finance, supervisors, and employees is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience with multi-department or manufacturing payroll preferred.
• Working knowledge of payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, tax withholding requirements, and payroll administration practices.
• Experience with Paycom payroll and timekeeping systems preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on deadlines.
• Review time records and payroll data for completeness and accuracy.
• Maintain and update payroll records including deductions and taxes.
• Audit payroll data and resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate with HR and department leaders on payroll transactions.
• Process final paychecks and off-cycle payroll.
• Support Finance with payroll reporting and GL activities.
• Generate payroll reports and metrics.
• Maintain compliance with wage and hour laws.
• Respond to payroll inquiries professionally.
• Prepare documentation for payroll audits.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes.
• Provide guidance to supervisors on payroll procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
