Job summary

Tenneco is seeking an Operations Manager to direct and supervise the production team, ensuring safety, quality, and cost efficiency. You’ll lead engineering and production staff, manage budgeting for capital equipment, and align with EHS policies.

You will foster a safety-first culture, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with management to meet plant objectives while developing engineers and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration.
• Five (5) years experience in manufacturing and/or engineering with two (2) years managerial experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills across all management levels.
• Experience with Word, Excel and PowerPoint; ability to train and supervise staff.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises production team, production supervision, and manufacturing engineering providing technical assistance.
• Liaises with other Tenneco units regarding techniques and technology.
• Attends management planning meetings and participates in policy decisions.
• Trains and motivates production and engineering staff and budget for equipment purchases.
• Ensures machining, inspection, and post end-of-line functions meet quality standards and troubleshoot as needed.
