Tenneco is seeking a Quality Manager to lead site manufacturing quality, aligning plant goals with enterprise standards and ensuring products meet customer requirements.

The role requires strategic vision, strong communication, and extensive experience in quality manufacturing systems. You will oversee QA, supplier quality, and continuous improvement initiatives on site.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Min 3-5 years of experience in leading a Quality function/program within a manufacturing environment
  • Strategic vision and communication skills related to Quality Manufacturing Systems engagement
  • Proven experience pursuing operational excellence within Quality Management
  • Ownership and proactive approach

Responsibilities

  • Acts as Champion of the quality function and drives the business to meet or exceed its quality goals
  • Drives compliance with the Quality Management System and necessary industry certifications (IATF) in line with Tenneco’s global quality objectives
  • Supervises and directs the activities of the Quality Assurance Department, including budgets and audits
  • Interacts with customers concerning plant certification, complaints, corrective actions and follow up
  • Implements procedures for inspection of incoming materials and review quality problems with vendors
  • Training and mentoring staff on quality standards, processes, and procedures

The Quality Manager ensures manufacturing quality leadership at the site, aligning plant strategic goals to Quality requirements. This role leads improvement objectives consistent with Tenneco’s enterprise-wide standards. You will leverage your technical and operational knowledge in manufacturing quality control systems to ensure Tenneco products meet required customer standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Acts as the Champion of the quality function and drives the business to meet or exceed its quality goals.
  • Drives compliance with the Quality Management System & necessary industry certifiactions (IATF) in line with Tenneco’s global quality objectives, ensuring that businesses/manufacturing processes and metrics are aligned to create high product quality and maintains our competitive advantage.
  • Supervises and directs the activities of the Quality Assurance Department, including establishing and operating within department budgets and regularly auditing quality processes.
  • Interacts with customers concerning plant certification, complaints, corrective action required from either and provides appropriate follow up.
  • Implements procedures for inspection of incoming raw materials and components and review quality problems with vendors. Provides supplier surveillance assistance as required.
  • Training and mentoring staff on quality standards, processes, and procedures.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Min 3-5 years of experience in leading a Quality function/ program within a manufacturing environment
  • Strategic vision and communication skills related to Quality Manufacturing Systems engagement
  • Proven experiene pursuing operational excellence within Quality Management
