Collins Aerospace in Melbourne, Florida, is seeking an Engineering Intern – Manufacturing Operations to assist experienced engineers in supporting production of Collins Aerospace products. You will gain hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering, testing, data analysis, and process improvement.

You will learn how engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain collaborate to meet production objectives while contributing to real projects that impact manufacturing performance.

Qualifikationen

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related STEM and enrolled through internship/co-op.
• Experience with basic statistics and statistical process control (SPC).
• Experience with data analysis, automation, or engineering software such as Python, MATLAB, Excel, LabVIEW, or similar tools.

Aufgaben

• Develop and automate data-collection tools and perform root-cause analysis to improve test processes.
• Analyze and enhance test equipment performance and reliability while reducing downtime and costs.
• Support capacity planning, ROI analysis, and evaluate test approaches to optimize staffing and capital investments.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting, training, and resolving production issues, including MFIs.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering to address component obsolescence and manage documentation.
