Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering intern to support production and manufacturing processes on the floor. You will drive process improvements by designing, improving, and implementing integrated systems of people, materials, and equipment, applying engineering analysis and design to specify and evaluate outcomes.

You will gain hands-on experience on manufacturing layout, flow, and process support, collaborating with cross-functional teams and learning to manage safety,

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related STEM major.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma.
• Experience with AutoCAD or other CAD programs.
• Experience with Visio.

Responsibilities

• Directly collaborate with manufacturing floor staff to solve day-to-day issues and drive long-term improvements.
• Analyze layout, flow, building, testing, troubleshooting and modification of electronic or electro-mechanical devices and systems.
• Design, control, and improve manufacturing processes and systems with the value stream team.
• Support product life cycle activities and extend improvements into production and supply chain.
