Job summary

Dyno Nobel in Wolf Lake, IL is seeking a Manufacturing Operator for a TEMPORARY assignment through September 30, 2026. You will safely and efficiently manufacture a quality NONEL product by hand and with automated systems, and you will stock areas and prepare products for shipping. Starting pay is $28.55 per hour.

A 2nd shift differential of $1.00 per hour applies. An incentive bonus may be offered for completing the assignment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required or preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Able to work 1st or 2nd shift.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
  • Willing to undergo ATF background check for explosives possession.
  • Able to communicate effectively verbally.
  • Able to stand, sit, squat, bend and walk; lift up to 38 lbs; push/pull 15 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacture a quality NONEL product.
  • Focus on safety and quality and minimize impact to current production.
  • Stock manufacturing areas and prepare products for shipping.
  • Complete proper documentation and balances while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
  • Attend Health and Safety training and apply learnings to the work.
  • Promote industry best practices, pursue waste elimination and support manufacturing initiatives.
  • Demonstrate commitment to Zero Harm through safety.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable HSE standards and regulations.

What You’ll Do

As the NONEL Manufacturing Operator, you will safely and efficiently manufacture a quality product by hand and use of automated system. The position is also responsible for properly stocking manufacturing areas and preparing products for shipping. Other duties will include:

  • Manufacture a quality NONEL product.
  • Focus on improving safety and quality and minimize the impact to current production
  • Responsible for properly stocking manufacturing areas and preparing products for shipping.
  • Must complete proper documentation and balances while maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Attend all Health and Safety training relevant to the job and apply what is learned to the work.
  • Promote implementation of industry best practices, pursue the elimination of waste and support initiatives in manufacturing.
  • Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable HSE performance standards, objectives and regulations.
What We’re Looking For:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Manufacturing experience preferred - on the job training is provided
  • Must be able to work 1 st, or 2 nd Shift
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives.
  • Ability to communicate with others effectively verbally
  • Must be able to stand, sit, squat, bend and walk through the entire shift. Must be capable of lifting up to 38 lbs. and push/pull 15 lbs.
  • Ability to wear and care for applicable personal protective equipment (such as, safety glasses and shoes, and gloves) as required by site specific requirements
