Job summary

Kalogon is seeking a Manufacturing Operator for 3D printing to run a bank of resin and FDM printers, stage jobs, start prints and harvest finished parts during the shift in Melbourne, FL.

You will post-process parts, perform first-pass inspection for defects, diagnose floor issues, and work with R&D on prototypes, with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with quick tool adoption.
• Problem-solver capable of rapid on-floor troubleshooting.
• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, machining, or maker environments.
• Background in 3D-modeling or CAM is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Run resin and FDM 3D printers; stage, start prints, and harvest parts.

Manufacturing Operator, 3D Printing

Hours:

• 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM, Monday - Friday

Key Responsibilities:

• Run a bank of resin and FDM 3D printers, staging jobs, starting prints, and harvesting finished parts to keep machines producing through the shift.
• Post-process printed parts: support removal, washing, curing, cleanup, and finishing to established standards.
• Perform first-pass inspection on every part, catching print defects (layer shift, warping, incomplete cure, poor bed adhesion) before they reach Quality Control.
• Diagnose issues on the floor and implement practical fixes.
• Contribute ideas to reduce cycle time and improve quality.
• Collaborate with R&D on prototypes and pilot builds.

Required skills:

• Strong mechanical aptitude — you pick up new tools and processes quickly
• Problem-solver who thinks on their feet
• Background in manufacturing, fabrication, machining, or a maker/technical environment is a plus
• Background in 3D-modeling or CAM is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements

• Standing and moving around the production floor for most of the shift.
• Lifting and carrying build plates, printed parts, and materials up to 25 lbs.
• Fine motor work including support removal, small part handling, and detail finishing for extended periods
