Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write, and interpret information effectively.
  • English communication skills including speaking, reading, and writing.

Responsibilities

Job description

  • 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM-1:30 PM or 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
  • 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM-10:30 PM or 2:30 PM-11:00 PM
  • 3rd Shift: Sunday-Friday, 9:00 PM-5:30 AM

Employment Type: Contract (1 year)

Salary/Rate: $19.00-$23.00 per hour, depending on shift and experience. The stated compensation range is a good-faith estimate based on the position requirements, experience, and shift assignment.

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Operator to join our production team. The Manufacturing Operator will operate manufacturing equipment, assemble components, perform visual inspections, and support production processes while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work with hand tools and microscopes. This position is well suited for individuals who are comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment and consistently following established policies, procedures, and work instructions.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Operate manufacturing equipment and production machinery according to established procedures and work instructions.
  • Assemble, handle, and manipulate components using hand tools and other production equipment.
  • Perform visual inspections and identify potential defects or quality concerns.
  • Use microscopes to inspect and work with small components as required.
  • Follow SOPs, policies, procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
  • Read, understand, and interpret work instructions, production documentation, and other technical information.
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
  • Support efficient production flow while meeting established quality and productivity expectations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Communicate production or quality issues to appropriate team members or supervisors.
  • Participate in required training and follow instructions provided by trainers and production leadership.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to improve processes when appropriate.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 6 months of manufacturing or production experience required.
  • Medical device manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.
  • Hands-on experience with assembly, manufacturing equipment, production processes, or hand tools preferred.
  • Comfortable using microscopes for manufacturing or inspection activities.
  • Ability to follow detailed policies, procedures, SOPs, and work instructions.
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret information effectively.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, including speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Ability to participate in instructor-led training conducted in English.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent quality standards.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools to manipulate, handle, or feel components.
  • Must be able to successfully complete required eye and color vision testing.
WORK REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to sit, walk, and/or stand for extended periods, up to 10 hours per day.
  • Ability to intermittently crawl, squat, climb, twist, bend, stoop, push, and pull.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing less than 50 pounds.
  • Must possess adequate near and distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus to perform required job duties.
  • Must be comfortable working in a production/manufacturing environment.
  • Must be available to work the assigned shift and scheduled workdays.
  • Candidates should disclose any pre-planned vacations or anticipated days off during the intake process so scheduling requirements can be reviewed in advance.
  • Consistent attendance and reliability are essential for this position.
