Are you looking for an entry level position with growth potential? Do you enjoy working in a fast pace, variety, team oriented work environment? Are you looking to explore the manufacturing / production field? This is the right opportunity for you. CoWorx is currently hiring for Direct Hire / Perm Production Operator position for a growing and busy manufacturing company located in the Portsmouth area. The schedule for this position is 4×4 rotation schedule (12 hours), both days and nights shift available, pay rate of $21.50 plus shift differential of 6%for night shift and $2/hour more on weekends. $1000 to $3000 Sign on Bonus. As a Production Operator, you will be trained by an experienced team to safely complete tasks associated with manufacturing and handling cable and equipment. You will be working in one of the manufacturing areas, working with large cable and the extrusion process and assisting with loading cable onto ships. This is an entry level position with on the job training provided.

Responsibilities: Physically handles cable and inserts it into large holding pans Winds copper onto reels Performs first level visual inspection, identifying errors and reports issues to appropriate personnel Follows verbal and written instruction and is accountable for his/her actions Follows safety guidelines (PPE, etc.) and always demonstrates safe work practices Adheres to the safety and quality standards (goals and metrics) of the organization while working within a team environment Promotes job and process improvement as it relates to the department (through 5S as well as other improvement initiatives) Successfully learns a variety of production processes and performs them safely and proficiently Safely operates various powered industrial equipment such as hand tools and pallet jacks Responds to multiple production assignments in a timely and efficient manner

Desired Background/Skills: Must be at least 18 years old Must be able to work 12 hours shift, rotation days (4 days on, 4 days off schedule) High school diploma or equivalency preferred One or more years of related experience and/or training preferred Applicant must have native-level proficiency in English
