Title: Manufacturing Operator
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Duration: 12+ Months
Pay Rate: $33/hour on W2
Shift Structure: 12‑hour shifts, 6:00 pm–6:00 am (start at 5:45 pm/5:45 am)
Responsibilities
- Supports the manufacturing processes relative to the department/area in which they are assigned.
- Operates manufacturing equipment based on established written procedures and work rules.
- Ensures product quality and safety on the assigned line and meets production standards in both quantity and quality.
- Follows cGMP and safety guidelines as required.
- Adheres to all safety policies and procedures.
- Performs light cleaning to maintain a clean operating environment.
- Writes maintenance summaries of assembly and workstation areas as needed.
- Executes quality checks in accordance with department/area requirements and documents findings.
- Engages in stocking, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal as required.
- Remains on time and available for each scheduled shift.
- Maintains a safe work environment.
- Wears required safety equipment (safety glasses, safety shoes, protective gloves, safety cap, etc.).
- Contributes to clear communication; verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Promotes an inclusive, safe, and pleasant work environment; teamwork and respect for people are required.
- Adheres to standard operating procedures and current Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure quality and quantity of product.
- Documents process steps on appropriate batch documentation.
- Attains and maintains qualification for operating assigned process equipment and duties.
- Performs equipment setup and operations.
- Unpacks, packs, loads, and unloads components and product on the lines.
- Demonstrates attention to detail.
- Utilizes basic math and computer skills to support job tasks.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience.
- Experience in a GMP environment with strong multitasking, technical, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Basic math skills and basic computer skills with the capability to learn in more detail.
- Not suitable for warehouse workers: this role specifically requires manufacturing operator experience.
