Job description

Job Title: Manufacturing Operator

As a Manufacturing Operator, you will physically transform our products using equipment such as pneumatic and hydraulic presses, fiber marking lasers, electric benders, and more. You must perform these tasks consistently, accurately, and efficiently while adhering to our procedures and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Work at a fast and error-free pace.
2. Follow strict procedures to efficiently manage and track inventory from bin locations to work cells and back.
3. Assist in designing, setting up, and optimizing new and existing processes.
4. Manage and replenish resources in the work cell, including consumables, fixtures, and tooling.
5. Develop and perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
6. Understand our quality expectations and take corrective actions when standards are not met.
7. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
8. Provide feedback to improve processes and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

First 30 Days:

Rotate through various work areas to familiarize yourself with different processes and equipment. This period helps assess your skills and ensure a good fit for the role.

Work Environment:

Work in a bright, clean manufacturing center with machinery and material handling equipment. Noise levels vary but are generally manageable without hearing protection. Safety gear is provided, and temperature is controlled between 60–80°F. Dress comfortably with closed-toe shoes.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Pay range: $17.50 – $23.00/hour, with a $1.00/hour premium for full-time second shift.
• Benefits include health, dental, vision, life, and hospital indemnity insurance; paid time off; 401(k); and tuition reimbursement.

Location and Schedule:

Located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Full-time and part-time shifts available, with flexible scheduling. Overtime may be required.
