Description Overview
  • The Manufacturing Operator is responsible for coordinating all activities related to the operation of any assigned machine or area. These activities include monitoring, operation, setup, change over, troubleshooting, training of associates, and ensuring customer orders meet specifications, quality standards, and schedules.
Scope of the Role
  • Operate equipment safely within standards and guidelines.
  • Review production orders to verify customer specifications and ensure line runs according to quality standards, production quantity, and machine specifications.
  • Coordinate activities of the crew and communicate with material handlers during production and downtime for efficiency.
  • Perform changeovers, including line clearance, verifying work orders, obtaining materials, and checking batch and lot numbers.
  • Troubleshoot machine issues, adjusting speed, temperature, air pressure, tension, and diagnosing problems, communicating with Asset Reliability as needed.
  • Complete paperwork such as in-process inspections, move tickets, and daily production sheets.
  • Enter data into SAP system.
  • Support GMP compliance and understand its impact on products and processes.
  • Participate in RedZone utilization as instructed.
Experience Required
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions in English.
  • Minimum 6 months manufacturing experience.
  • Basic computer skills for procedures, data entry, and reading instructions.
  • Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
