  • Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Company Core Beliefs, safety, and quality requirements.
  • Set up and operate the precision metal tube drawing bull wheel process.
  • Maintain performance and quality standards using the light system process.
  • Read and follow technical specifications and maintenance instructions.
  • Independently complete assignments and resolve manufacturing challenges.
  • Accurately document all work performed in print and computer systems.
  • Receive, label, handle, and move customer-supplied or purchased materials.
  • Conduct in-process inspections per work orders and technical drawings, using visual methods and precision measurement equipment.
  • Maintain segregation of conforming and non-conforming product.
  • Partner with Engineering to develop and improve processes.
  • Participate in Operational Excellence activities and teams.
  • Be available for overtime as business needs require.
  • Perform additional assigned duties as required.

Job Description

Job Title: Manufacturing Operator – 2nd Shift (3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.)

Location: Collegeville PA

Salary: $21/hr

Shift: 2nd Shift, 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Operator is responsible for operating and setting up equipment used in the precision production of metal tubes. This skilled position helps ensure that products meet exacting quality and safety standards, supporting smooth and efficient manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities
  • Adhere to Company Core Beliefs, safety, and quality requirements.
  • Set up and operate the precision metal tube drawing bull wheel process.
  • Maintain performance and quality standards using the light system process.
  • Read and follow technical specifications and maintenance instructions.
  • Independently complete assignments and resolve manufacturing challenges.
  • Accurately document all work performed in print and computer systems.
  • Receive, label, handle, and move customer-supplied or purchased materials.
  • Conduct in-process inspections per work orders and technical drawings, using visual methods (unaided and with magnification) and a variety of precision measurement equipment.
  • Maintain segregation of conforming and non-conforming product.
  • Partner with Engineering to develop and improve processes.
  • Participate in Operational Excellence activities and teams.
  • Be available for overtime as business needs require, including possible mandatory OT with prior notice.
  • Perform additional assigned duties as required.
Education & Experience
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years company-related experience and/or 4+ years of machinery operation in a manufacturing environment. Medical device experience preferred.
  • Skills: Proficient in basic math and working with small precision parts.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Proficient with interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Skilled in the use of precision measurement equipment (micrometers, gauges, etc.).
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
  • Consistent use of PPE (safety glasses, gloves, etc.) as required by company policy.
  • Regular exposure to machining fluids, lubricants, solvents, and chemicals, following all safety procedures.
  • Use of lift assist and other safety equipment as appropriate.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent pushing, pulling, carrying, bending, standing, sitting, reaching, and grabbing materials throughout the 8-hour shift.
  • Participation in safety training, safety committees, and hazard analysis/resolution.
