Top Source Talent, LLC is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Operations & Product Line Lead/Supervisor in Indianapolis, IN. This on-site role focuses on leading day-to-day production, managing schedules, materials, quality, cost and delivery while coordinating with Engineering, Supply Chain, Purchasing and Operations.

The ideal candidate will drive production flow, build milestones, develop staff, monitor material availability, and resolve issues in real time to ensure on-time customer delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing/production experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience leading manufacturing teams and production operations.
• Strong project management experience within a manufactured-product environment.
• Experience working closely with Supply Chain, Procurement and Buyers.
• Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, schematics and technical requirements.
• Lean/continuous-improvement experience or certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations, including production flow and scheduling.
• Oversee shipping, receiving and inventory coordination.
• Develop and manage production milestones to meet delivery commitments.
• Lead and develop direct and temporary production staff.
• Coordinate builds across Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Planning and Quality.
• Monitor material availability and address shortages with Procurement.
• Track build progress and drive issue resolution.
• Coordinate real-time troubleshooting with Engineering.
• Oversee in-process inspections and quality checkpoints.
• Improve throughput, labor efficiency and manufacturing cost.
• Implement SOPs and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Ensure OSHA, safety, quality and operating standards are followed.
• Interpret drawings to translate requirements into manufacturing sequences.
• Support supplier coordination and make/buy decisions.

Manufacturing Operations & Product Line Lead / Supervisor

Indianapolis, IN | On-Site

Our airport solutions manufacturing client is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Operations & Product Line Lead/Supervisor to lead day-to-day production while managing the successful build and delivery of technically complex equipment.

This is a highly visible floor leadership role for someone who can manage people, production schedules, materials, quality, cost and delivery while also coordinating across Engineering, Supply Chain, Purchasing and Operations.

U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency (Green Card) required for this role.

What You'll Do

• Lead daily manufacturing operations, including production flow, workforce planning, shipping, receiving and inventory coordination.
• Establish production schedules and build milestones to meet customer delivery commitments.
• Lead and develop direct and temporary production employees.
• Coordinate product builds across Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Planning and Quality.
• Monitor material availability and work with Procurement / Supply Chain to resolve shortages.
• Track build progress, identify obstacles and drive issues to resolution.
• Coordinate real-time technical troubleshooting with Engineering.
• Oversee in-process inspections and quality checkpoints.
• Improve production flow, throughput, labor efficiency and manufacturing cost.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Ensure OSHA, safety, quality and company operating standards are consistently followed.
• Interpret mechanical drawings/schematics and help translate technical requirements into effective manufacturing sequences.
• Support supplier coordination and make/buy decisions as needed.

What We're Looking For

• Experience with fuel systems or related equipment is highly desirable.
• Sheet metal manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Lean/continuous-improvement experience or certification is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience; engineering degree preferred.
