We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Operations Manager and Integration & Test Value Stream Leader 2 to provide Operations leadership and execution support to the Optical Integration & Test Value Stream Line in Devens, MA. The Manufacturing Operations Manager and Optical Integration & Test Value Stream Leader is accountable for complete operational execution, from contract award through delivery to external and internal customers, for the entire Integration & Test value stream.
Primary Responsibilities include:
Responsible for the complete integration and test effort for passive and active optical systems, including plans and sequences for all assembly, integration and testing activities.
Accountable to meet or exceed the operations safety, quality, delivery, employee and cost (SQDEC) expectations of external and internal customers across all AOX programs supported by Integration and Test.
Maintain and assist in continued development of operations model and value stream organizational design.
Collaborate and coordinate with master scheduling, other product value streams, and functional leaders to achieve product and site goals.
Accountable to meet/under-run AOX manufacturing rates and manage overhead and direct labor yield (DLY) rates.
Develop value stream hiring plans, onboarding, retention, and training plans in support of business needs.
Identify and develop business cases for capital project plans to support value stream execution and growth.
Own Integration and Test Value Stream operations resource management, escalation, prioritization, and conflict resolution decisions.
Strengthen the operations team through “develop and deploy” operations strategies.
Continuously review processes and procedures to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Support customer proposals through generation of estimates and identification of operational risks.
Support all review boards and participate in program reviews as required.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with at least 9 years of operations, engineering, and/or program leadership experience; OR 7 years' experience with a Master's degree. An additional 4 years experience in lieu of a degree.
Requires a proven track record and passion for achieving manufacturing and operational results.
Root cause problem solving and continuous improvement skills.
Technical experience in optical and mechanical final assembly, system integration and test.
Knowledge and experience with executing process standards and risk management identification and mitigation.
Requires experience creating a culture of engagement and inclusion, continuous improvement and teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and/or Business Administration.
10 years of experience in operations with a focus in passive and active optical systems.
Experience transitioning products through the product lifecycle from development to full rate production.
Technical experience in electrical final assembly, system integration and test.
Salary Range: $125,500 - $188,300
