Job summary

Ballymore in Kentucky is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to run daily plant operations, own safety performance, and lead the production and supervisor teams to hit throughput, efficiency, and on-time delivery targets.

You will coordinate with Supply Chain, Planning, Engineering, and Maintenance to keep production ready, drive continuous improvement through Lean tools, and report KPI performance including OEE and scrap.

Qualifications

• Experience leading hourly production teams and supervisors.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts (5S, standard work, visual management).
• Strong knowledge of workplace safety requirements and enforcing them on the floor.
• Ability to track and report production measures such as OEE, scrap, and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own daily plant safety performance by conducting floor audits, correcting hazards, and enforcing safety procedures.
• Lead daily production meetings to review schedule attainment, labor allocation, equipment status, quality issues, and shipment priorities.
• Manage hourly production and supervisor teams to achieve daily throughput, efficiency, and on-time delivery targets.
• Monitor and coordinate workflow through fabrication, forming, welding, finishing, and assembly to eliminate bottlenecks.
• Ensure adequate staffing, cross-training, and labor balancing across shifts to meet changing production demands.
• Drive immediate resolution of quality concerns, scrap, rework, welding defects, and customer-related issues through root cause analysis.
• Partner with maintenance to prioritize downtime, preventive maintenance, and rapid recovery of critical assets.
• Track and report daily KPIs including Safety, Labor Efficiency, Schedule Attainment, OEE, Scrap, Rework, On-Time Delivery.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain, Planning, and Engineering to ensure material availability and production readiness.
• Lead continuous improvement on the shop floor using Lean principles, standard work, 5S, visual management, and waste reduction initiatives.
