Job summary

DOC Services Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to run daily plant operations, own safety performance, lead the production meeting, and manage production and supervisor teams to hit throughput, efficiency, and on-time delivery targets.

The role collaborates across fabrication, forming, welding, finishing, and assembly, coordinating with Supply Chain, Planning, Engineering, and Maintenance to keep production ready and running.

Qualifications

• Experience leading manufacturing operations.
• Experience managing hourly production teams and supervisors.
• Strong knowledge of workplace safety requirements and enforcement.
• Proficiency with Lean tools: standard work, 5S, visual management.
• Ability to track KPIs such as OEE, scrap, and on-time delivery.
• Excellent communication with leaders, supervisors, and floor staff.

Responsibilities

• Own daily plant safety performance by conducting floor audits, correcting hazards, and enforcing compliance with all safety procedures.
• Lead daily production meetings to review schedule attainment, labor allocation, equipment status, quality issues, and shipment priorities.
• Manage hourly production and supervisor teams to achieve daily throughput, efficiency, and on-time delivery targets.
• Monitor and coordinate workflow through fabrication, forming, welding, finishing, and assembly operations to eliminate bottlenecks.
• Ensure adequate staffing, cross-training, and labor balancing across shifts to meet changing production demands.
• Drive immediate resolution of quality concerns, scrap, rework, welding defects, and customer-related issues through root cause analysis.
• Partner with maintenance to prioritize equipment downtime, preventive maintenance activities, and rapid recovery of critical production assets.
• Track and report daily KPIs including Safety, Labor Efficiency, Schedule Attainment, OEE, Scrap, Rework, and On-Time Delivery.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain, Planning, and Engineering to ensure material availability, production readiness, and execution of customer requirements.
• Lead continuous improvement activities on the shop floor using Lean principles, standard work, 5S, visual management, and waste reduction initiatives.
