Job summary

Equipto LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead daily plant operations, uphold safety, and drive throughput and on-time delivery across fabrication, forming, welding, finishing, and assembly. You will coordinate with Supply Chain, Planning, Engineering, and Maintenance to ensure production readiness and problem resolution.

You will guide hourly production and supervisor teams, drive continuous improvement using Lean tools, and track KPIs like OEE and scrap to maintain efficient and safe

Qualifications

• Experience leading hourly production teams in metal fabrication.
• Proficient with Lean tools and shop floor improvement.
• Strong knowledge of workplace safety standards and enforcement.
• Ability to track OEE, scrap, and on-time delivery metrics.
• Effective communication with leadership and floor staff.

Responsibilities

• Own daily plant safety performance by conducting floor audits, correcting hazards, and enforcing compliance with all safety procedures.
• Lead daily production meetings to review schedule attainment, labor allocation, equipment status, quality issues, and shipment priorities.
• Manage hourly production and supervisor teams to achieve daily throughput, efficiency, and on-time delivery targets.
• Monitor and coordinate workflow through fabrication, forming, welding, finishing, and assembly operations to eliminate bottlenecks.
• Ensure adequate staffing, cross-training, and labor balancing across shifts to meet changing production demands.
• Drive immediate resolution of quality concerns, scrap, rework, welding defects, and customer-related issues through root cause analysis.
• Partner with maintenance to prioritize equipment downtime, preventive maintenance activities, and rapid recovery of critical production assets.
• Track and report daily KPIs including Safety, Labor Efficiency, Schedule Attainment, OEE, Scrap, Rework, and On-Time Delivery.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain, Planning, and Engineering to ensure material availability, production readiness, and execution of customer requirements.
• Lead continuous improvement activities on the shop floor using Lean principles, standard work, 5S, visual management, and waste reduction initiatives.
