Job summary

General ThermoDynamics, an API Heat Transfer Company, seeks an Operations Manager to lead manufacturing operations in Germantown, WI. This role drives safety, quality, delivery, and productivity while guiding workforce development and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and HR to achieve operational objectives and support long-term growth at our new facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing supervisors and production teams.
• Proven success leading manufacturing operations in a fast-paced production environment.
• Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience; ERP systems proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations to meet production, quality, safety, and delivery goals.
• Develop and execute operational plans aligned with company objectives and customer requirements.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for productivity, efficiency, quality, scrap, throughput, and on-time delivery.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Manage staffing, workforce planning, and employee development initiatives.
• Coach and develop supervisors and team leads to build leadership capability.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Customer Service to resolve production challenges.
