Job summary

General ThermoDynamics, an API Heat Transfer Company, seeks an Operations Manager to lead our Germantown, WI manufacturing site. The role drives safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and employee engagement while partnering with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, HR, and Leadership to achieve operational objectives.

The candidate will oversee production planning, staffing, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with standards and budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 7+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
• 3+ years leading supervisors and production teams.
• Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, labor management, and metrics.
• Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations to meet production, quality, safety, and delivery goals.
• Develop and execute operational plans aligned with company objectives and customer requirements.
• Establish and monitor KPIs related to productivity, quality, and on-time delivery.
• Drive safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement culture.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste and boost efficiency.
• Manage staffing, workforce planning, and employee development.
