Job summary

MacLean-Fogg is hiring an Operations Manager for its Saegertown, PA manufacturing operation. In this role, you will lead day-to-day manufacturing operations, develop people, strengthen safety and quality, and improve production efficiency, cost performance, and continuous improvement across processes.

You will coordinate production planning, staffing, cross-functional priorities, and supplier performance to help achieve operational and business goals, while driving a culture of safety, quality,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• At least 6 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or operations, including demonstrated experience managing production teams and driving process improvements.
• Experience with manufacturing systems, lean production methodologies, and operational efficiency initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations and continuously improve processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, control costs, shorten lead times, and improve productivity and product quality.
• Develop and manage manufacturing plans and production schedules that balance customer demand with available capacity, adjusting schedules as demand, resources, or equipment performance change.
• Manage staffing levels and labor resources to support production targets while maintaining safety and quality, and lead, mentor, and develop team members through clear communication and accountability.
• Establish, monitor, and enforce quality control standards to help ensure products meet organizational and industry requirements.
• Implement and maintain safety protocols and ensure adherence to applicable safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align production goals with business objectives, and monitor vendor performance against quality and delivery expectations.
• Complete production reports, safety audits, compliance checks, and other required operational documentation fully and accurately.
• Promote 5S principles and lead continuous improvement efforts across operational areas to maintain a clean, organized, efficient, and performance-focused manufacturing environment.
