Job summary

Maker's Pride in Ohio seeks an Operations Manager to guide production leadership across 3 shifts, coaching salaried and hourly staff, and drive continuous improvement while meeting targets. You will lead safety, quality, and efficiency initiatives, foster teamwork, and ensure compliance with policies and GMPs.

This role demands strong communication and problem-solving to elevate performance and develop future leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years leadership experience in a large manufacturing facility, preferably food/CPG.
• Knowledge of Employment Standards, OHSA, HACCP, and/or Food GMPs is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills at all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency with Lean, Six Sigma, and value stream mapping.

Responsibilities

• Inspires and coaches salaried leaders and hourly employees across 3 shifts.
• Direct the conversion of raw materials into finished products with minimal waste and labor costs.
• Champions new ideas and encourages teams to test improvements.
• Plans production operations and establishes manufacturing priorities.
• Resolves employee issues per policy and drives accountability.
• Reviews reports to minimize expenses and delays.
• Trains and develops employees, identifying future leaders.
• Drives compliance with policies and standards; communicates expectations clearly.
• Collaborates across departments to achieve results.
• Builds and sustains a culture where people are valued and engaged.
