Job summary

STEM Talent Solutions’ client seeks an experienced Operations Manager to lead manufacturing operations, drive continuous improvement, and develop high-performing teams. This hands-on role partners with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Production Control, and Sales to improve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and overall operational performance.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree and 7–10+ years in manufacturing leadership with a strong Lean/CI background, KPI development,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or related field.
7–10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.
Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, KPI development, and ERP systems.
Proven leadership, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in electronics, aerospace, defense, military, or other high-reliability manufacturing environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead daily manufacturing operations and production teams.
Drive Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Coach supervisors, develop future leaders, and build a culture of accountability.
Improve manufacturing flow, capacity, labor utilization, and key performance metrics.
Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and initiatives to reduce scrap and improve first-pass yield.
Support workforce development, cross-training, and succession planning.
