Veeco Instruments Inc. is seeking a Director of Manufacturing Operations in Horsham, PA to lead the PSP Wet Processing manufacturing organization. This role requires a seasoned operations executive with deep experience in capital equipment, international supply chain, and strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Experience with complex capital equipment manufacturing, particularly within semiconductor or related high-tech industries.
• Demonstrate situational leadership and understand when to lead or delegate.
• Strong financial background and business acumen.
• Practical mindset towards manufacturability and business processes.
• Use data-driven insights to ensure high product quality in house or via contract manufacturers.
• Proven ability to build, lead, and develop high performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for Sub-assembly, Assembly, and Test organizations and drive operational execution to meet targets.
• Champion safety and quality culture, ensuring compliance with regulatory, ISO standards, and risk management.
• Lead operational excellence and world-class quality performance across manufacturing.
• Ensure on-time deliveries and implement continuous improvement and lean initiatives.
• Establish budget and resource plan for site manufacturing operations.
• Develop a high-performance organization through coaching and talent development.
• Lead quality investigations and 8D/problem-solving activities.
• Execute product transitions including insourcing/outsourcing globally.
• Promote LeanTools and cycle time reduction to improve efficiency.
