Job summary

Sazerac Company is seeking an Operations Accountant - IBD to manage cost accounting, asset control, and month-end close for assigned business units. You will prepare journal entries, perform variance analysis, and support audits.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reporting and implement process improvements while maintaining internal controls. A Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting and 5 years of accounting experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or relevant experience.
• Excellent oral & written communication skills.
• Strong analytical abilities with attention to detail.
• Experience with MS Office products, especially Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Close the P&L and Balance Sheet by specified deadlines; prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Perform account reconciliations, variance analysis, and review allocations and intercompany transactions.
• Support the annual audit and maintain internal controls; assist with consolidation and reporting as needed.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Supply-Chain, Logistics, and Plant Operations to improve financial reporting.
