Job summary

Sazerac Company in the United States is hiring an Assistant Controller, Manufacturing to lead month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls for our manufacturing plants. You will supervise staff, ensure GAAP compliance, and partner with operations for cost optimization.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in finance or accounting, 5+ years in manufacturing, Oracle ERP proficiency, advanced Excel, and strong communication to explain numbers to non-finance colleagues. MBA/CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required.
• Minimum 5 years in a manufacturing environment with a CPG firm and cost accounting experience.
• Strong technical and analytical capabilities, including ERP/accounting systems (Oracle) and advanced Excel.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with ability to translate financial information for non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support year-end audits with external accounting firms and assist with Annual Operational Plans and financial analyses.
• Oversee close processes, data accuracy, and timeliness; manage staff at plants and consolidate budgets/forecasts.
• Analyze and reconcile General Ledger accounts; generate reports for Controller/management and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Maintain internal controls, ensure GAAP compliance, and support cross-functional accounting flows.
