Job summary

The Sheridan Group Minnesota is hiring a Manufacturing Operating Technician - Bindery. We’ll train you to run high-speed bindery equipment to produce books, catalogs, and printed materials. No bindery experience required—just a hands-on learner with an eye for quality.

You’ll join a fast-paced, team-oriented production floor, on-your-feet work, and opportunities to grow into a long-term career in print manufacturing. We provide training and a path to skilled operation roles.

Qualifications

• Experience operating machinery preferred but training provided.
• Must be mechanically inclined and able to use basic tools.
• Ability to read job instructions and measurements accurately.
• Reliable team player with good work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Learn to set up, run, and maintain all sections of the Machine.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to the machine and associated equipment.
• Record production data accurately from work instructions.
• Contribute to productivity improvements and safe, efficient operations.

We’re hiring 3 team members ready to learn, grow, and build a long-term career in print manufacturing.

What You'll Do:

• Learn to set up, run, and maintain all sections of the Machine.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to machine and auxiliary equipment.
• Learn to interpret the information on work instructions and accurately record production data.
• Exercise initiative, ask questions and look for ways of improving productivity.

What We're Looking For:

No bindery experience? No problem—we’ll train you. We’re looking for people who:

• Have experience operating machinery
• In any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements (decimals, sizes, etc.)
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team
• High school diploma/GED.

It's a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

• On your feet for most of the shift.
• Fast-paced, team-oriented production floor.
• Lift up to 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
